Is there a trick to getting my Yobo NES to work with seemingly incompatible games?

There's two games in question, Ninja Gaiden and Maniac Mansion. As you may or may not know, a Yobo NES is a piece of hardware with a NES emulator. Since it's legally based on an expired copyright, it should be a carbon copy of the original operating system, so in theory all games should work; but these two don't. I know the carts are fine though, since they work in my original NES.

  1. Well, I can't tell you for absolute certain, as I don't own one myself nor can I find a comprehensive compatibility list. However, knowing what I do about these things, I can tell you this. The Yobo NES is pretty cheap, and likely runs on fairly minimal hardware. Not like full x86 processor computers that can run questionably legal emulators with unbelievable compatibility and options, naturally. So, the emulation software on the Yobo NES is also likely unique, and probably imperfect in a few ways. Quite honestly, it could be one of a handful of issues. The hardware may be substandard, although the Yobo looks relatively legit, and thus not an explosion/fire hazard like the knockoff 1000-games-in-one emulator/controller systems. The emulation may just be failing to load the games. Or, it could be one of a host of reasons I don't understand offhand. So, what I've basically said in a long-winded fashion trying to justify my knowledge and lack thereof, you're pretty much out of luck as far as I can tell.
