Which do you think is better Samurai or Ninja?

Its up to you Vote :P the Japanese bow, a Yumi, is made of bamboo not composite like the mongolian bow. And it was the only type of bow in Japan. Thanks to the guy that said this :D This are the results at this moment Ninjas IIII Samurai IIII None IIIII im going to choose the best answer soon so i suggest to explain your answer use facts, and give info, so we all can get our knowledge further, right now the battle is a draw, unfortunately some people havent vote because they think there is no room for such a fight, well the question is not who is the strongest or who would won on certain condition, its basically which you think is cooler so its up to your point of view, i like the fight about samurais followed rules, they helped each other, tbey trusted their masters, and they helped people, but i also like the cool clothing of ninjas, and i have much respect for the Oniwabanshu, so i basically like Japanese warriors well keep up answering and good luck Elmerion :D

Ninjas are sneaky b*******s, but that's all they've got. Samurai are about honor and fighting like men, with huge cojones!
Well samurais are better in the perspective that they have a honor code unlike ninjas so i like Samurais better as for which one is better in a fighting point i would have to go with ninja due to their assassin type of killing i dont think a ninja would straight up fight with a samurai they would sit on your "right hand" and poison you
My heart wants to say the Ninja but being that my favorite video game of all time is Way of the Samurai. I'm going to have to say Samurai. It's funny, but I love martial arts movies, and video games. In some games you are a ninja, and the samurai are the bad ones. In some games, you are a samurai and the ninja's are the bad ones like Tenchu. LOL Anyway, I'm going to say that Samurai are better. They are brave in their battle. Ninjas are too but they are smart at fighting and only fight face to face when needed. Imagine going to the depths of hell and fighting the devil and all his people as a NINJA! LOL It would be so much easier wouldn't it? Samurai, it would be a brave, noble act, where you don't care not to be seen and it's on like popcorn! LOL
The premise for your comparison is inherently flawed. I suggest you read up on the subject as you are clearly under some misconceptions. It would be like comparing a boat to a car, both are forms of transport, but really have different functions.
Oh wow. Super hard question. Um, I am a big fan of nijas b/c of their swiftness and gracefulness, but they were normally payed to kill someone or get revenge on others. I love their style though. I'm going to say samurai b/c I'm real big with honor. Though, I'm totally for both sonce not all ninjas did that. BOTH ARE AMAZING!!
Depends on your point of view...Samurai were like soldiers in todays army. And they fight face to face with "honor". Who ever is best with sword is the "best" Samurai....... As ninja is concerned they don't have this "honor" thing that people have made up. They fight how ever they can to win ; no need to be seen or heard. Ninja Vs. Samurai.......Ninja wins only because they are used to fight or "kill" before the fight even begins.So in my opinion the ninja comes out on top. But this is also only based on stories and "facts" i have heard i do not know any ninjas or Samurai personally :D
I heard somewhere that a ninja is a rouge or like a banished samurai. I don't know if it is true or not. But that's what I heard. Now about who wins the fight. I'm going to go with the ninja. I say ninja because they specifically kill wihout being noticed. That's what they do. A samurai is a very skilled fighter don't get me wrong, but the samurai would be dead without even knowing a ninja was around. And honor has nothing to do with who wins a fight.
For the above poster, A Ronin is a masterless samurai, not a Ninja. The Ninja are all about killing as fast as they can without being noticed, also about sneak attacks. Samurai are about facing their opponent and fighting fairly, If they lose then they'll accept their death, If it was in a battlefield type area, the Ninja wouldn't even be there, so you really can't compare them. If it was just a 1-vs-1 fight then the Ninja would either win or run away and kill them later, The main reason the shuriken were feared is because the Ninja would let them rust on the edges, so you really didn't want to get cut by one.
When someone who fights with rules fight someone who fights with no rules, the one with rules will most likely loose. I think the ideal Samurai is the better person. Ninja......a samurai is great with his sword but ninjas are experts at stealth and hand to hand.....in a sword fight a ninja would lose. But if the Ninja and Samurai had to hunt each other down...the ninja would ambush the Samurai

Samurai, followed bushido (The Way of the Warrior (Such as loyalty to one’s master, self-discipline, bravery, honor, ethical behavior). Katana sword (http://www.handmadesword.com)as their most important weapon, and often come with a wakizashi to make a Daisho.
this depends on the situation you put them in. First of all no one can match the sword skill of a samurai, they are trained with the sword from birth and train with the long bow for years pulling back the string and visualizing shooting the arrow at the target before they even get a real arrow to shoot. They were trained to protect the kings of japan and would die for the lords in a second. Ninja on the other hand were like the Japanese version of the navy seal/green beret. the can win with stealth in situations that would be considered dishonorable to the samurai. Ninja learned versatility with weapons such as throwing stars, darts just to name a few. In the open the samurai would slice a ninja to pieces and make no effort doing it. However in the woods or jungles where gorilla warfare would rule the ninja would lie in wait and kill them from above in a tree with one of there multi weapons or hit them with a poison dart or throwing star from far away. Ninja can be killed by more than just ninja but its hard to get them in the situation to do it.

i think the samurai would win, not all ninjas were assassins some were spy's, thieves, and bounty hunters. the samurai however were soldiers, masters at battle tactics, and philosophical thinkers. another reason i believe the samurai would win is because he has heavier armor than the ninja, so he wouldn't be harmed as easily.
Well, I think Samurai, coz Ninjas are only assasins and samurai are knights. Plus, Ninjas are not fully designed to fight, that's why they need stealth.
Samurai are higher in rank and when it comes to fighting with only swords, they're the best. Ninja is considered to be the lowest in rank compared to any warriors however, they did the best jobs at assassinating people and they train like hell. Probably much more than any average samurai and all they do every single day is to train to kill and seek even more effective ways to kill someone. Whether it's weapons, or physical techniques. They even studied science and other fields around there to study the anatomy of human beings and weapons. Ninja usually comes from a very poor village and assassinate, steals, etc. under the command of anybody who pays good or decent amount of money for their village or family, or for their family to survive. So they did whatever they can to succeed in their job. So when it comes to fighting, I think ninja was better since they were more desperate. But that's in average. There are great swordsmen that no ninja or other samurai could not beat. And there are some that was like that in ninja as well.
