- well ninjitsu is training like a nija u learn grapples and weapon training with throwing stars and swords and im not sure what bujinkan is.
- Not necessarily. Ninjutsu is the totality of Japanese Ninja Espionage arts. It encompasses everything from Horseback riding to sword discipline. Bujinkan is similar (It's what Dr. Hatsumi teaches under his organization), but it only goes over unarmed and armed portions. There's weapons and more accurately Ninpo/Taijutsu/To Shin Do, is the name for the set of techniques that make up the unarmed portion. The only difference is that To Shin Do is an "Americanized" adaptation of Bujinkan Budo Taijutsu (Which is the art that Dr. Hatsumi teaches). The only thing I can recommend is that if you want to be taught the authentic Bujinkan, that the school in question has some tie to Dr. Hatsumi. That doesn't imply that those schools are any less (And some of the schools in the US offer other arts like shootwrestling), but they may or may not be the authentic art taught.
- Ninjutsu is the art of the ninja or Shinobi (in Japanese). Ninjutsu has 18 disciplines http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Ninjutsu Bujinkan is the school in which Masaaki Hatsumi teaches Ninjutsu. But he only teaches unarmed combat (Taijutsu) and various weapons combat, due to today's modernized settings, other disciplines such as espionage and sabatoge is primarily useless. here is an article on Masaaki Hatsumi http://www.ninjutsu.com/soke-hatsumi.shtml
- the difference is politics.... i would recomend bujinkan though because the word "ninja" has a negative meaning in america everyone thinks of parkour and movies and naruto and shit and you got widely known to be fake ninjas runnin around like "ashida kim" but bujinkan comes from the top ninja in the world so its alot harder to fake being a member of that group so either Bujinkan Genbukan Jinenkan Toshindo Jizaikan
